Les Ourtets is a place where one enjoys getting together, talking, listening to music or simply meditating in a corner of the garden; a starting point for walks, a haven of peace to enjoy nature and wildlife, visits to picturesque villages, grilling chestnuts on the garden barbeque, cooking mushrooms collected on an afternoon walk, peacefully sitting on the terrace watching the sunset while enjoying a nice glass of Cabardès wine.

It's a good base for visiting the historic sites of Carcassonne, Lastours, Saissac, Minerve etc. and for outdoor pursuits such as hiking, cycling, motor-cycling, swimming, horse-riding.
